Volleyball Origination

Volleyball was invented in 1895, with the name "mintonette". It was created by a man named William G. Morgan, it was a combination of basketball, baseball, tennis, and handball. Setting and spiking came into play in the Philippines in 1916. Then, in 1928 the USVBA (United States Volleyball Association) was created for standard rules. Two years later, the first mens beach volleyball game was played. Much later, 1965, the first beach volleyball association appeared in California. It wasnt until 1983 when the AVP (American Volleyball Professionals) came about. Its basically just where pros unite. In 1984 the first US Olympic volleyball gold and silver medal was won. Finally, in 1996 two person beach volleyball was created as an Olympic sport. In conclusion, I thought that this was very interesting and cool to know as a volleyball player.
